International Marathon Brings Some 10,000 Runners to Florianopolis

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The International Marathon held in Florianópolis on Sunday morning, August 25th, gathered approximately 10,000 runners from all Brazilian states and thirteen other countries, according to the event's organization. The race started at 6 AM, on Avenida Beira-Mar Norte.

In the Men's Elite category, over the 42.2 km course, Adilson Alves Dolberth, from Blumenau, was the winner. He broke the 2 hours, 24 minutes prior record time by finishing the race in 2 hours, 22 minutes.
