RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Recent hotel openings place Bogotá and Colombia’s main inland tourist cities at the forefront of luxury and wellness, marking a trend in the country that not even the pandemic could stop.

Bolivia’s Santa Cruz de la Sierra has joined this trend, incorporating hotels that are clear indicators of travelers’ interest in the country. Among the new arrivals are a Residence Inn by Marriott in the Colombian capital Bogotá, which joins the 30-brand portfolio in the country, and the brand-new Novotel Bolivia, inaugurated in Santa Cruz.

FOR EXTENDED STAYS

Residence Inn’s debut in Colombia came at Calle 90, No. 16-30, just a few steps from the Calle 93 Park and in the capital’s most vibrant and cosmopolitan area.

Operated by oxoHotel, a company specialized in conceptualizing, developing and operating multi-brand and multi-segment lodgings, the new property welcomes business and leisure travelers with an exclusive design and architecture that enhances the guest experience with open spaces to relax and enjoy unconstrained living.

It also offers direct access to the Mercado del Chicó, an innovative gastronomic complex with over 30 proposals located next to the hotel, as well as next to Bodytech Calle 90, one of Colombia’s best medical sports clubs.

The hotel features 131 flexible rooms and comprehensive suites, including studios and one- and two-bedroom suites. Guests will feel at home in separate living and sleeping areas with plush bedding and linens, providing an intimate environment that invites connection and productivity.

The interior design uses organic materials and textures, combined with warm colors, transitional palettes, as well as textiles and local ancestral goldsmithing that feature crisp and inspiring details, offering comfort from the moment guests enter the hotel’s reception area.

Designed for stays of at least 5 nights, it is prepared to provide maximum benefits. Hence, its modern residential décor based on the “travel the way you live” concept.

It is a concept where openness, freedom and love for life translate into personalized service and unrestricted experiences. Fully equipped kitchens in each suite – complete with refrigerator, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, residential-size appliances, and dinnerware and cookware – create a setting for home-cooked meals.

Guest rooms also feature ample work spaces, with a well-lit desk, ergonomic seating and high-speed wireless Internet access. The Residence Inn offers a wide variety of healthy, natural options for your daily complimentary breakfast, included in the room rate.

BUSINESS AND LEISURE

Novotel Santa Cruz de la Sierra opened its doors on September 1 in Bolivia’s main commercial hub. Located steps away from the city’s largest conference center and 5 minutes from the financial and business district, the Accor Group’s new franchise offers a value proposition for business travelers and tourists who appreciate wellness, quality service and hotel security.

With over 10,000 m2 of built-up area, the hotel features 145 rooms, including executive, double, twin and family rooms, as well as rooms for people with special needs. The interior is designed with a contemporary industrial style, fused with tropical details characteristic of the city and with modern open spaces that provide comfort to guests while they enjoy the wonderful Novotel View.

It also boasts a Social Hub, traditionally known as lobby, of over 600 m2, where working or relaxing is an option. It integrates coworking spaces, meeting rooms and gym, Elay Play children’s area, heated swimming pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, two large terraces, bar and the Soho Craft Kitchen restaurant, whose signature cuisine includes elements of international gastronomy inspired by Bolivian cuisine.

Access to all these spaces is regulated by strict health protocols implemented under the All Safe seal, which guarantees the highest standard in hospitality and full safety for both guests and staff.

The new hotel is located at 901 Roca Coronado Avenue, the main axis of business trade shows and with easy access to stores and restaurants. From here guests can access the Autonomía urban park, with several hectares dedicated to nature, over 1,000 native species, in an area where sports are the protagonists as there are hiking and biking trails, a soccer field and sand volleyball court.

The hotel is thus aligned with the identity of a globally recognized brand, with a presence in over 350 destinations and at least 60 countries, to offer experiences that combine relaxation with high connectivity for work under the “Time is on your side” concept.
