GOL to resume its flights between Brazil and Argentina in December

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – GOL Linhas Aéreas announced that it would once again operate regular flights between Brazil and Argentina as of December 19 with a “gradual and conscious” recovery scheme supported by the advancement of vaccination against Covid-19 in Brazil and the reopening of the Argentine borders to foreign tourists.

The Brazilian airline will concentrate its flights at the Jorge Newbery Airport in Buenos Aires, operating daily flights to São Paulo / Guarulhos and Rio de Janeiro / Galeao and two weekly flights to Florianópolis.

The Aeroparque operation will facilitate connections to and from cities in the Argentine interior thanks to its codeshare agreement with Aerolineas Argentinas, thus making up for the lack of direct flights from Córdoba, Mendoza, or Rosario.

Gol also highlighted that the schedules to São Paulo will facilitate fast connections to other destinations in Brazil using Terminal 3 at Guarulhos airport.

“GOL has been operating flights to Buenos Aires since December 2004, that is, at the end of 2021, it has turned 17 years of activities, which were temporarily suspended during the pandemic and are now returning to normal. It is with great satisfaction that we announce the return of the flights to the Buenos Aires capital from December 19, since it is a route acclaimed by Brazilians and of vital importance for passenger access to different places in Argentina and Brazil,” commented Randall Sáenz Agüero, Director of Alliances, International and Distribution of GOL.

Buenos Aires thus joins other international destinations of Gol that will restart soon, such as Montevideo, Uruguay (3/11), Cancún, Mexico (11/12), and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (11/13).
