The vehicle’s driver files the request through the Detran.SP website and the document will be delivered by mail upon payment of the applicable fees (R$45.56 for issue and R$11 for postage).
• First Vehicle Registration: the request for registering a zero-km vehicle is done through the Detran.SP website. After the application, citizens may proceed to a license plate printing company.
• Transfer of used vehicles: Title changes are performed by scheduling an inspection at an ECV (Vehicle Inspection Company). The service is performed near the residence or establishment of the applicant. After obtaining the vehicle report, the transfer service can be ordered via the Detran.SP website.
• Fully digital annual vehicle licensing: this can be ordered online and saved or printed from the Detran.SP or the DENATRAN website – https://portalservicos.denatran.serpro.gov.br), or through the app “Carteira Digital de Trânsito – CDT”, available for Android and iOS mobile phones. The vehicle’s document can be printed at home on a common printer, on A4 paper, in black ink, on a single page.

Other services

With the extension, approximately 60 services are now provided. On the Detran-SP website, citizens may also search for fines and debits related to their vehicle, check the infraction reports on the vehicle, apply for and track the defense against a fine, and access duplicates of fines for vehicles registered in another state.
