Off-Duty State and Civil Police Officers Exchange Gunfire in São Paulo After Traffic Accident

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - A state police (PM) and a civil police officer exchanged gunfire on Saturday night in the neighborhood of Perus, north of São Paulo capital, after a traffic accident. The case is under investigation by the forces and the Civil Police.

The officers' names have not been disclosed. The accident followed by shooting occurred on Fiorelli Peccicacco Avenue. Neither officers were injured, but a 36-year-old driver passing through the scene was hit by shrapnel.
