RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - São Paulo governor João Doria (PSDB) on Tuesday, June 29, announced the São Paulo Acolhe program.
He said the program will pay 6 monthly installments of R$300 each to people who have lost a relative to Covid-19 and live in a vulnerable situation. "Nothing will repair the pain of losing a loved one, but we will help in rebuilding these families," the governor said.
The benefit covers families registered in the Unified Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico), with a monthly income of up to three minimum wages.
