RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The parks will operate exclusively from Monday to Friday, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The wearing of masks is mandatory in all state parks in São Paulo.
To date, the Secretariat has reopened ten state urban parks in the São Paulo metropolitan area, all of which are operating exclusively from Monday to Friday.
The reopening of these sites is only authorized for municipalities located in regions in the São Paulo Plan’s 3-yellow phase.
The Jaraguá and Cantareira natural state parks (Núcleo Pedra Grande) and the Caminhos do Mar forest reserves have also been reopened.
However, visits to these areas should be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance through the Fundação Florestal website, the body in charge of the two Protected Areas.
The Zoo, Safari Zoo, and Botanical Garden will be open from Monday to Friday, from 10 AM to 4 PM; and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 9 AM to 4 PM, at half capacity.
At this time, only the open area can be visited. Closed spaces, such as educational exhibitions, will remain closed to the public.
