RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Secretary of Health of São Paulo, José Henrique Germann, said on Tuesday, May 5th, that the state had reached 34,053 confirmed cases by the novel coronavirus and 2,852 deaths.
According to Germann, there were 1,866 new cases (an increase of 5.8 percent) between Monday and Tuesday, and 197 new deaths (an increase of 7.4 percent).
According to government data, the ICU beds' occupation rate yesterday stood at 86.9 percent, while on Monday it had been 88 percent, and 90 percent on Thursday, April 30th, before the holiday. According . . .
