São Paulo Stores, Bars and Gyms May Now Open for Eight Hours

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL - The São Paulo state government has authorized the extension of the period for opening business establishments from six to eight hours a day, starting on Friday, August 21st. The measure applies to stores, restaurants, bars, gyms, offices and beauty parlors in regions in the yellow phase of the São Paulo Plan. The maximum closing time is 10 PM.

Establishments may choose to operate for a continuous or fractional period. Each city hall is in charge of authorizing this flexibility in municipalities.
