Embraer’s Eve partners with Kenya Airways for urban air mobility

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – In an almost weekly rhythm, Embraer’s vertical takeoff and landing electric vehicle (eVTOL) subsidiary, known as Eve, has been announcing new partnerships. They mean business at the company’s headquarters and are putting their money where their mouth is.

This time, Eve signed an agreement Wednesday (11) with Kenya Airways to explore operating models for urban air mobility in markets where it operates.

The partnership will develop a strategy to provide the African carrier’s passengers with a sustainable, accessible, and affordable transportation option. The agreement will also include safe aircraft operations and the operating environment required for urban air traffic management.

“With the support of our aircraft and aerospace services and Kenya Airways’ innovative approach to air mobility, we look forward to opening up this region to more sustainable and friendly access to air transport for all,” Andre Stein, CEO of Eve, said in a statement.
