RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - An Orbis Institute poll conducted last Monday (2) shows that the ex-governor of Rio Grande do Sul José Ivo Sartori and Brazil's Vice-president Hamilton Mourão are leading the race for a Senate seat in 2022. Next year, each state will elect only one senator.
The poll shows Sartori in first place with 15.7% of voting intentions, followed by Mourão with 14.6%. The Orbis poll also placed Sartori as the favorite in the race for governor.
Also in the race for the Senate are the ex-mayor of Porto Alegre . . .
